Grayling, Michigan
Grayling (/ˈɡreɪlɪŋ/ GRAY-LEENG) is the only city and county seat of Crawford County in the U.S. state of Michigan.[1] The population was 1,884 at the 2010 census.[2]

Lumbering practices destroyed Arctic grayling breeding grounds in rivers and contributed to their slow decline and eventual disappearance from Northern Michigan.
