The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States.
The Packers joined the National Football League in 1921 and are the most successful franchise in league history by total championships, with thirteen titles. The team won the first two Super Bowls ever played and later captured Super Bowl XXXI and Super Bowl XLV.
The Packers were dominant during the 1960s under head coach Vince Lombardi, winning five championships in seven seasons. Many legendary quarterbacks have players have played for the franchise, including Bart Starr, Brett Favre, and Aaron Rodgers. Jordan Love is the current starting quarterback for the team. they also have legendary players have played for the franchise such as Reggie White, Desmond Howard, Sterling Sharpe, Andre Rison and Donald Driver, Greg Jennings and Clay Matthews III.
The team is named after the Indian Packing Company, where founder Curly Lambeau worked. The Packers are the only publicly owned professional sports franchise in the United States and are strongly associated with the city of Green Bay, which is often referred to as “Titletown.”

Packers great Brett Favre played for 16 years in Green Bay. He had his No. 4 jersey retired by the Packers in 2015.
Reggie White in 1998. White is widely considered one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history, and had his number retired by the Packers in 2005.
