HM Revenue and Customs
Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HM Revenue and Customs or HMRC)[1][2] is a non-ministerial department of the United Kingdom Government. It is responsible for the collection of taxes, the payment of some types of welfare, and the management of other regulations such as the minimum wage.
HMRC was formed when the Inland Revenue and Her Majesty's Customs and Excise were combined. This happened on 18 April 2005.[3] The department's logo is the St Edward's Crown enclosed within a circle.
