Heherson Alvarez
Heherson "Sonny" Turingan Alvarez (October 16, 1939 – April 20, 2020) was a Filipino politician. He was born in Santiago, Isabela. He served as a member of the House of Representatives (1998–2001) and the Senate of the Philippines (1987–1998). Alvarez was also Minister of Agrarian Reform (1986–1987) and Secretary of Envir keonment and Natural Resources (2001–2002).
On April 20, 2020, during the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, Alvarez died of COVID-19. He was 80.[1]
