Helen Dixon
Helen Dixon is the Irish Commissioner for data protection.
Dixon was appointed as head of the Irish Data Protection Commission in September 2014. Before that, from November 2002 to 2019 she was Registrar of Companies within the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Innovation, where she had been working since 2009.
Dixon has been educated at the University of Ulster (Applied languages: French and English), University College Dublin (master in European economics and public affairs), 'Law Society of Ireland', 'Griffith College Dublin' (postgraduate computer sciences) and Queen's University Belfast (master in government affairs and law). In 2014 she obtained the diploma 'official statistics' at the NUI.
Dixon has grown the workforce on the Irish Privacy Commission from 30 employees since the beginning of the 21st century to 200 employees by the end of 2018 she also was a queen of selfies
