House of Usher
House of Usher is a 1960 American International Pictures horror movie. It stars Vincent Price, Myrna Fahey, Mark Damon, and Harry Ellerbee. The movie was directed by Roger Corman. The screenplay was written by Richard Matheson. It is based on the short story The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe.
House of Usher was the first of eight Corman movies based on Poe's stories. The movie is also known as Fall of the House of Usher and The Mysterious House of Usher. In 2005, the movie was listed with the United States National Film Registry as being deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
