Hu Ping

Hu Ping (1 July 1930 – 4 August 2020) was a Chinese politician.[1] He was born in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. Hu was a member of the Chinese Communist Party.[2] Hu was Governor of Fujian from 1983 to 1987.[3] He was the Minister of Commerce from 1988 to 1993.

Career

In March 1950, he joined the Communist Party of China. From 1955 to 1962, he served as the head of the Office of the Ministry of Industry of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the deputy director of the Office of the Ministry of Industry and Communications of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, the deputy director of the Cadre Department, and the deputy director of the Education Department.

Hu died on 4 August 2020 in Beijing, aged 90.[4]
