IRAS 04509-6922 is a red supergiant star in the Large Magellanic Cloud.^[1]

IRAS 04509-6922’s minimum radius is 1,027 solar radii (1,430,286,468 km) (1,430,286,468,000 m).

IRAS 04509-6922’s maximum radius is 2,249 solar radii (3,132,146,316 km) (3,132,146,316,000 m), making it even larger than Stephenson 2-18 and making it the 3rd largest known star, only smaller than V1943 Sagittarii (2,361 solar radii) and WOH G17 (2,955 solar radii).^[2]
