IRC 10420

IRC +10420 is a yellow hypergiant star located 16,000 light years away in the constellation Aquila. Estimates of its diameter range from 380^[1] to over 1,300 times that of the Sun. Its temperature has increased recently, so it may be turning into a blue hypergiant.^[2]
