"Independence Day" is a 1994 song by country singer Martina McBride and is the third single from her second studio album The Way That I Am. It went to number 12 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and was nominated for 2 Grammy Awards in 1995. It was originally offered to Reba McEntire who turned it down.
