Irving Thalberg

Irving Grant Thalberg (May 30, 1899 – September 14, 1936) was an American movie producer. He is known for producing many blockbusters during the silent movie era. The Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award is named after him.

He produced Grand Hotel, China Seas, Camille, Mutiny on the Bounty, The Good Earth, and many more. He was born in Brooklyn, New York.

Thalberg died from pneumonia in Santa Monica, California, aged 37.
