Jack Frost

Detective Inspector William Edward "Jack" Frost, GC QPM, unnamed to Jack Frost, is a fictional detector from the BBC detective series A Touch of Frost, played by David Jason and created by RD Wingfield characterised as sloppy, untidy, hopeless with paperwork but unmatched at solving mysteries.
