Jane Briggs Hart
Jane Briggs (“Janey”) Hart (October 21, 1921 - June 5, 2015) was an American aviator. She was the widow of Senator Philip A. Hart. She was born in Detroit, Michigan. She was a member of the NASA's Mercury 13. Hart was also an avid sailor and has sailed in the Port Huron to Mackinac Boat Race 15 times as part of an all-women crew.[1]
Hart died on June 5, 2015 in West Hartford, Connecticut from Alzheimer's disease, aged 93.[2]
