Jeanine Áñez
Jeanine Áñez Chávez[1] (born 13 August 1967)[2] is a Bolivian lawyer. She was the 81st President of Bolivia from 11 November 2019 to 8 November 2020. She became president following the resignation of President Evo Morales. She was a Senator, representing Beni.

She is the second female President of Bolivia.
In the early hours of 13 March 2021, Áñez was arrested on charges of terrorism, sedition and conspiracy over her actions during the 2019 coup of Evo Morales.[3][4] In June 2022, she was sentenced to ten years in prison for her role in the 2019 political crisis.[5]

President Jeanine Áñez guaranteed 100 million dollars for development works in the city of El Alto, resources with which the demands of that city in the areas of health, education, support for entrepreneurs, and road works, among others, will be met.
Áñez promulgates the law for the convocation of new elections, 24 November 2019.
The member of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE), Salvador Romero, who was appointed by the Executive, affirmed that the next general elections will have a "duly sanitized" electoral roll.
