Jigonhsasee
Jigonhsasee (alternately spelled Jikonhsaseh and Jikonsase) was one of the founders of the Iroquois Confederacy. The other founders were the Great Peacemaker and Hiawatha. She is known as the Mother of Nations. According to legend, the Peacemaker came to Jigonhsasee. He told her about his mission to build a confederacy. That led to the founding of the Iroquois confederacy which took place around 900 CE.[1][2][3]
