Joe Louis Arena, nicknamed The Joe and JLA is a hockey arena in Detroit, Michigan. It is the home of the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League.

Joe Louis Arena also hosted the 2009 Royal Rumble.

The arena closed at the end of the 2016–17 NHL season, with the Red Wings opening the new Little Caesars Arena a few blocks away.[1] After the Wings moved, the arena was torn down and will be replaced by a combined hotel and retail development.[2]
