John Allen Chau
John Allen Chau (born December 18, 1991 in Scottsboro, died November 17, 2018 in North Sentinel) was an American traveler and Christian Protestant missionary. He was killed in November 2018 by residents of North Sentinel Island in an attempt to convert them to Christianity.[3] For nine years, he prepared for a mission among the Sentinels, aware of the risks and the very brutal treatment of newcomers by the natives[4]
