John Amos
John Amos, Jr. (born December 27, 1939) is an American movie, television, voice, stage actor, former football player, and comedian. He is known for his role as James Evans, Sr. in Good Times.
Amos was born on December 27, 1939 in Newark, New Jersey.[1] He studied at East Orange High School, at Long Beach City College and at Colorado State University. Amos was married to Noel J. Mickelson from 1965 until they divorced in 1975. He was later married to Lillian Lehman from 1978 until they divorced in 1979. He is now married to Elisabete De Sousa. Amos has four children.

American actor John Amos, a big advocate of the Coast Guard, is interviewed by local and national media. He later boarded a Coast Guard Auxiliary boat along with Secretary of Transportaion Rodney E. Slater for transportation to the Military Ocean Terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey to meet with security forces handling the OPSAIL events.
