John Richard Briley[1][2] (June 25, 1925 – December 14, 2019) was an American screenwriter. He was best known for screenplays of biographical movies. He won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay at the 1982 Oscars for Gandhi.[1][3]
He died on December 14, 2019, aged 94.[4]
