John Burningham

John Burningham (27 April 1936 – 4 January 2019) was a British children's book writer and illustrator.[1] He won many awards including the Kate Greenaway Medal in 1963 for his book called Borka: The Adventures of a Goose With No Feathers.[2] He was also known for illustrating the book Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang.

Burningham was born April 27, 1936 in Farnham, Surrey, England.[3] Burningham died on 4 January 2019 at the age of 82 from pneumonia.[4]
