John Sykes
John James Sykes (29 July 1959 – 2024) was an English rock and heavy metal guitarist. He was best known as a member of Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy and Tygers of Pan Tang. He also played for the hard rock group Blue Murder and released several solo albums.

On 20 January 2025, it was announced that Sykes had died from cancer in 2024 at the age of 65.[1][2]
