John Woodvine
John Woodvine (21 July 1929 – 6 October 2025) was an English actor. He was known for his role as Det. Insp. Witty in Z-Cars. He was also known for his roles in An American Werewolf in London, Murder with Mirrors, Persuasion, Doctor Who and in Joe Maddison's War.

Woodvine was born in Tyne Dock, South Shields, County Durham, England.[1] He was studied at Lord Williams's School and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Woodvine died on 6 October 2025 at the age of 96.[2]
