John Ziegler Jr.
John Augustus Ziegler Jr. (February 9, 1934 – October 25, 2018) was an American lawyer and ice hockey executive. He was the fourth president of the National Hockey League from 1977 to 1992. Ziegler received the Lester Patrick Trophy in 1984 and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1987. He was the leading figure in making hockey players wear helmets during hockey games.[1]

Ziegler Jr. died in Sewall's Point, Florida on October 25, 2018 at the age of 84.[2]
