Jonathan Dowling
Jonathan P. Dowling (3 April 1955 – 5 June 2020) was an Irish-American researcher. He was a professor in theoretical physics. He was known for his work on quantum technology, mainly focusing in quantum entanglement. He was born in Smithtown, New York.
Dowling was the co-director of the Horace Hearne Institute for Theoretical Physics and a Hearne chair in Theoretical Physics at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, both at Louisiana State University.
He was a Fellow at the American Association for the Advancement of Science[1] and at the American Physical Society.[2]
Dowling died on 5 June 2020 from a short-illness, aged 65.[3]
