Junko Tabei

She completed her climb of Mount Everest in 1975. [1] She was also the first woman to climb all Seven Summits by climbing the highest peak on every continent. She was born in Miharu, Fukushima.

Tabei died of peritoneal cancer on 20 October 2016 in Kawagoe, Saitama. She was 77.[2]
