Kōryō, Nara

Kōryō (広陵町 Kōryō-chō?) is a Japanese town in Nara Prefecture on the island of Honshū.


According to tradition, Kōryō was sometimes the site of an Imperial Palace,[1] including

  • Umayasaka Palace or Umayasaka-no-miya, 640.[2]
  • Kudara Palace or Kudara-no-miya, 640–642[2] Kudara is related to an ancient name of the Korean kingdom of Baekje. [3]
