Payam Karaj International Airport is a passenger, postal and economic airport. This international airport is a postal hub and the only special economic zone of Alborz province and the center of Iran, which is located on the communication highway of 9 provinces.*The first passenger flight from Mashhad to Karaj landed at Payam Airport in 2018. The airport already operated in the field of cargo.
