Kautokeino

Kautokeino, or Guovdageainnu suohkan, is a municipality in Norway's northernmost county.

Settlements include Guovdageainnu (village).

In October 2023, a new municipal council will meet, and it elects a mayor (for 4 years).

  Fotograf: Bjørn Joachimsen, Foto Nord Ole Henrik Magga (NSR) var Sametingets første president. Han var også den første lederen av FN Permanente Forum for urfolkssaker, og er tidligere leder i Norske Samers Riksforbund. Fortsatt stiller han som listekandidat for NSR ved høstens sametingsvalg.
