Khatare Massacre (1832)
On the 9th In March 1832, the Kurdish Prince and his powerful Army from Mosul invaded the Sheikhan region and first reached the community of Khatare, which at that time still belonged to Sheikhan. Thousands of people were killed, women and children were enslaved.
