Kirsten Holmstedt

Kirsten A. Holmstedt is an American author and journalist. She has written for newspapers, magazines and business publications.[1] Holmstead is the author of two books on women in the military.[2]

Early life

She was born and grew up in Mystic, Connecticut, USA.[3] In 1985 she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from Drake University.[3] In 2006, she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative non-fiction from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.[3]

Career

Besides two books on women and the military, she has written other articles on military issues. She left her job as a public information officer for Coastal Carolina Community College in Jacksonville, North Carolina to be a freelance writer.[4]
