Kristinestad (Finnish: [Kristiinankaupunki] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) is a town in the Ostrobothia region of Finland. There were about 7,000 people living there in January 2014. It is next to the municipalities of Isojoki, Karijoki, Merikarvia, Närpes and Teuva. The people living in the town are bilingual; about 56% of the people speak Swedish. Most of the rest, about 42%, speak Finnish.[1]
