Letters from Iwo Jima (硫黄島からの手紙, Iōjima Kara no Tegami) is a 2006 Japanese-language American war drama movie directed by Clint Eastwood and was based on the novel by Tadamichi Kuribayashi. It stars Ken Watanabe, Mark Moses, Roxanne Hart, Luke Eberl, Jeremy Glazer, Yuki Matsuzaki, Eijiro Ozaki, Ryō Kase, Shidō Nakamura, Tsuyoshi Ihara and was distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It won an Academy Award and was nominated for 3 others in 2007.
