Lhasa
Lhasa (Tibetan: ལྷ་ས།; Chinese: 拉萨) is a city in Tibet. It is one of the highest cities in the world. It has many Tibetan Buddhist sites such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang and Norbulingka.

Lhasa's (western gate)- the Tibetans called this chorten, Pargo Kaling pictured here at the time of the 1904 British expedition to Tibet was destroyed by the Communist Chinese People's Liberation Army after the March 10th, 1959 Tibetan uprising and flight of the 14th Dalai Lama.
