Loan (sports)

Juventus player Federico Chiesa was at the club on loan from Fiorentina since 2020. He later signed a permanent transfer in 2022.

In sports, a loan lets a player temporarily play in a different club than the club they signed with. Loans may last a few weeks to a full season, sometimes even many seasons. A loan fee can be made by the parent club as well as them asking to pay a part of their wages.
