London Underground D78 Stock
The London Underground D78 Stock were a type of Sub-surface tube built by Metro Cammell. These ran on the District line and entered service January 28, 1980 and replaced the London Underground R stock. The D78 stock was in service until retirement in 2017. The trains were replaced by the S7 and S8 stock. They are commonly known as S stock.
