Lorne Michaels
Lorne Michaels (born November 17, 1944) is the creator of Saturday Night Live. He has also produced movies. Michaels was born in Toronto. He moved to Los Angeles in 1968. He is the executive producer of The Tonight Show as well as Late Night with Seth Meyers. Michaels was given an Honorary Doctorate from Ryerson University in 1999.[1]

Lorne Michaels will act as the executive producer of the "40th Annual Emmy Awards," on Sunday, August 28 (8–11 p.m. NYT) on Fox Broadcasting Company. Michaels was the driving force behind the very popular "Saturday Night Live," and is the recipient of six Emmy Awards for his body of work. The Emmy telecast will be tape delayed on the West Coast.
