Maichou
A Maichou is a high priest in Sanamahism (Meitei religion).[1] The term "maichou" is the product of the fusion of two Meitei language words, maiba meaning priest and achouba meaning chief or great.[1] They are regarded as the philosophers,[2][3] shamans[4] and scholars.[5][6][7]
