Mario Nawfal
Mario Nawfal (born May 8, 1994) is an Australian entrepreneur, angel investor, and international speaker. He is the founder of the Athena Group of Companies, a conglomerate operating in over 40 countries.[1]

Early Life and Education
Mario Nawfal was born on May 8, 1994. He moved to Australia at the age of six and later graduated from Monash University, where he specialized in Banking and Finance.[3]
Career
Nawfal started his career in 2012 when he founded Froothie International, a company specializing in high-performance blenders and kitchen appliances. With an initial investment of $300, he grew the company to $1 million in revenue within its first year and $10 million by the second year.[4][5]
In 2017, Nawfal established the International Blockchain Consulting (IBC) Group, which has played a significant role in incubating and accelerating blockchain and cryptocurrency startups.[6] The group has supported over 200 startups, including Faith Tribe, MetaVRse, and Sidus Heroes.[7]
In 2021, Nawfal co-founded NFT Technologies, a publicly listed company focusing on making blockchain, NFTs, and Web3 more accessible to institutional and retail investors.[8]
He is also an active participant in global conferences, sharing insights on entrepreneurship, blockchain, and digital assets.[9]
Controversies
In 2023, Nawfal faced allegations of financial mismanagement, including an $11 million defamation lawsuit filed by a YouTuber. The lawsuit raised questions about his business practices.[10][11][12]
His role in hosting discussions on sensitive topics, such as the Russia–Ukraine war, also drew criticism.[13][14]
Personal Life
Mario Nawfal is passionate about Bachata dance and has participated in global festivals. He is a regular speaker at major international events, including TEDx and blockchain summits.[15][16]
