Mario Prada was the founder and original designer of the fashion label Prada, which makes high-fashion goods for both men and women, such as shoes, handbags, luggage, and leather items. Prada was born in the Kingdom of Italy in Milan and later died in 1958 in Italy. Mario Prada is also known for being the grandfather of Miuccia Prada, who later became an important figure in the fashion world herself.
