Massoud Achkar

Massoud "Poussy" Achkar (1956 – 11 January 2021) was a Lebanese independent politician. He was a close advisor to President Bashir Gemayel.

Achkar was the co-founder the Lebanese Forces party. He was known as "Poussy". He was in charge of military operations in Achrafieh[1] between 1975 and 1986,[2] the 2009 Lebanese general election[3] and the 2018 parliamentary elections.

Achkar died on 11 January 2021 in Beirut from COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Lebanon, aged 64.[4]
