Member of parliament
(Redirected from Member of Parliament (United Kingdom))
A member of parliament (MP) is the representative in parliament of the people who live in their electoral district. The terms congressman/congresswoman or deputy are terms that mean the same thing used in other places or systems. Members of parliament usually make parliamentary groups (sometimes called caucuses) with members of the same political party. In all states, the prime minister and the government ministers who make up the cabinet, are often members of parliament.
