Micropigmentation is a process through which tattoos (permanent pigmentation of the dermis) are designed in such a way that it resemble makeup like eyelining and other permanent enhancing colors to the skin of the face, lips, and eyelids. Micropigmentation is also used to create artificial eyebrows, particularly in people who have lost them as a consequence of old age or disease. This is also used by people to disguise scars and white spots in the skin such as in vitiligo.
