Mikhail Nikolayevich Zadornov
Mikhail Nikolayevich Zadornov (Russian: Михаи́л Никола́евич Задо́рнов; July 21, 1948 – November 10, 2017) was a Soviet and Russian stand-up comedian and writer. He was born in Jūrmala, Latvian SSR, USSR. His humour is national stereotype and national mentality. From 2006 until his death, Zadornov had incorporated Chudinov-style wordplay into his sketches, based on folk etymology[1]
In March 2014 he signed a letter in support of the position of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on accession of the Crimea to Russia.[2]
Zadornov died of brain cancer in Moscow, Russia on November 10, 2017 at the age of 69.[3]
