Mircea Snegur
Mircea Ion Snegur (Romanian pronunciation: [ˈmirt͡ʃe̯a iˈon ˈsneɡur]; born 17 January 1940)[1] is a Moldovan politician. He was the first President of Moldova from 1990 to 1997. Before that, he was Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet from 1989 to 1990 and Chairman of the Supreme Soviet from 27 April to 3 September 1990.
