Molly Gloss

Molly Gloss (born November 20, 1944) is an American writer. She writes mostly historical fiction and science fiction.

Life

Gloss grew up in rural Oregon. She began writing seriously when she became a mother.[1] She now lives in Portland, Oregon. She was close friends with fellow science fiction writer Ursula K. Le Guin. Gloss has taught writing and literature of the American West at Portland State University, and was visiting professor at Pacific University's MFA in Writing program.[2]
