Montgomery Gentry
Montgomery Gentry was an American country music band. It was started in 1998. The band is made up of vocalists Eddie Montgomery[a] and Troy Gentry.[1] Both are from Kentucky. The duo is known for its Southern rock influences.[1] They have collaborated with Charlie Daniels, Toby Keith, Five for Fighting, and members of the Allman Brothers Band. In 1999, they were awarded Favorite New Artist—Country at the American Music Awards. Both the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association named them Duo of the Year in 2000. They have been been nominated for this award by both associations in every year until 2016.
