The name Nancy [ nan-see; French nahn-see ][1] is a female given name. It comes off Hannah, meaning "grace".[2] The name was originally a nickname for girls. However, from the 18th century onward, Nancy became a proper name. This name was ranked #945 on the US Popular Names in 2021.[3]
