National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases
National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID, which is pronounced "NYE-ad") is an agency of the United States Department of Health and Human Services with a mission to conduct basic and applied research to better understand, treat, and prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases in the United States and world at large.[1][2][3]
