Necessary evil

Necessary evil occurs when an enemy has been formed uniting people in conflict with each other against it. Sometimes it is a cruel deed with good intentions.

For example in Attack on Titan ^[1]Eren Jaeger is displayed as the necessary evil in order to united Paradis and it's enemies stop him from continuing with his pursuit of global genocide.Light Yagami^[2] is also a necessary evil when he attempts to rid the world of crime by mass murdering all the world's criminals. Other exampls conditions of a mafia boss does heinous things to keep "his" city in order.
