Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala (born 13 June 1954) is a Nigerian-American economist and international development expert.[2]

On 15 February 2021, she was appointed as Director-General of the World Trade Organization. She is the first woman and the first African to hold the office.[3][4]

On Thursday, April 14, 2011, senior Treasury officials and leaders from the development community marked the 20th anniversary of the Treasury Department’s Office of Technical Assistance (OTA) and discussed the office’s efforts to help developing nations strengthen their financial sectors and economies. Following opening remarks, a panel included Under Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs Lael Brainard, President of the Center for Global Development Nancy Birdsall, Governor and Chairman of the Central Bank of Kenya Prof.
